Short answer

On October 15, 2026, Sunlight's own site showed compounded semaglutide at $88 and tirzepatide at $157 a month with no membership, while MEDVi showed compounded semaglutide at $149 or $179 for month one, then refills "locked in at $299," so MEDVi's 12-month semaglutide cost is $3,438 or more.

Sunlight's page does not say whether $88 and $157 last past month one, so we show both cases. MEDVi prints no compounded tirzepatide price.

Why compare Sunlight and MEDVi?

In July 2026 both programs were listed on this site with a "$179" start and the same promo code, GLP120. Neither code appears on either seller's site today, and the old July claims are gone. The two programs now price very differently, so the matching July headline no longer tells you much.

Both offer compounded semaglutide month to month; Sunlight also prints a tirzepatide price, while MEDVi does not. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not the same as Wegovy or Zepbound. The FDA says it does not review compounded drugs "for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed." Our full write-ups are in the Sunlight review and the MEDVi review.

What do Sunlight and MEDVi charge after month one?

MEDVi says it plainly: its semaglutide program "starts at $179 for your first month" (or $149 on the page its homepage links to), and "Refills are locked in at $299." Sunlight shows a "Fall Promo! As low as $88" but its product cards still say "Starting at $179," and it never says which price applies from month two.

Sunlight's help center says "semaglutide starts at $88 and tirzepatide at $157," calling each a "flat monthly rate." Its "Sunlight Guarantee" promises "Same price forever" and "No price increases ever." Read together, that suggests the promo rate continues, but the page does not say so outright. The "Reg $1196" and "Reg $2020" figures shown next to the promos are not explained. Ask in writing before you pay.

MEDVi changes its first-month price by link: the default page showed $179, while the page reached from its homepage showed $149. Different visitors can see different offers. The refill price was $299 on both.

How do the two programs compare side by side?

Here is everything each seller's own pages said on October 15, 2026. Where a page was silent, the table says so. We did not use third-party price lists, old screenshots or the July promo code, which neither site shows now.

What does a year cost on Sunlight vs MEDVi?

For semaglutide, MEDVi costs $3,438 to $3,468 a year at its printed prices. Sunlight costs $1,056 if the $88 rate holds, $2,057 if it applies only to month one and $179 follows, or $2,148 at $179 throughout. Tirzepatide on Sunlight runs $1,884 to $2,148.

Sunlight semaglutide, promo first month only$88 + 11 × $179$2,057

MEDVi tirzepatideNo price printedCannot calculate

MEDVi's site code contains tirzepatide values, but they were not displayed as prices, so we do not count them. Sunlight's rows assume 12 monthly fills; it ships a "4-week supply," so check whether 13 charges fall in a calendar year.

How do these prices compare with the market?

Our index of October 15, 2026 lists 27 compounded semaglutide programs from $49 to $299 a month, median $99. Sunlight's $88 sits below that median. MEDVi's $299 refill matches the top of the range. For tirzepatide, 32 programs run $86 to $399, median $153; Sunlight's $157 is close to it.

For context, our top-ranked program, NexLife, lists compounded tirzepatide at $169 a month month to month, or $139 on a 12-month plan ($1,668 a year), the same at every dose. See the tirzepatide price index and our compounded semaglutide guide. Brand Zepbound starts at $299 a month for 2.5 mg through LillyDirect, the same as MEDVi's compounded semaglutide refill.

What do Sunlight and MEDVi say about screening?

Both describe a clinician reviewing an online intake. Neither public site describes eating-disorder screening, weight verification or when a video visit is required. Sunlight says a clinician decides "if you need an appointment." MEDVi says providers "review your answers and determine whether treatment may be right for you."

A CNN report published October 15, 2026 described one patient with anorexia who said he bought compounded GLP-1s from several sites, "including Ro, Good Life Meds, MEDVi and Priority Meds." That is his account, not a finding about MEDVi's process. CNN said MEDVi "did not respond" to requests for comment. CNN did not mention Sunlight. Our screening comparison covers 11 programs.

MEDVi's site also says "Individuals appearing in advertisements may be actors or models." Sunlight states it is LegitScript-certified and accepts HSA/FSA cards.

What this means for you

If price is the deciding factor, Sunlight is cheaper in every scenario we could calculate, by a wide margin if its promo rate continues. MEDVi is clearer about month two, and clear that it costs $299. Sunlight's refund terms are friendlier if a clinician turns you down.

Example 1: semaglutide for six months. On MEDVi, $149 + 5 × $299 = $1,644. On Sunlight, 6 × $88 = $528 if the promo holds, or $88 + 5 × $179 = $983 if not. The gap is $661 to $1,116.

Example 2: you are disqualified after paying. Sunlight says you get "a full refund" and a free video visit. MEDVi refunds in full only within 72 hours and only if you "have not received any Subscription Services," so ask how a completed intake is classed.

Example 3: you cancel mid-month. MEDVi's policy states, in capitals, no refund "for the month in which the cancellation occurred." Sunlight gives no refund once a prescription "has been written and sent to the pharmacy." Either way, cancel before the next fill.

Frequently asked questions

Does the GLP120 promo code still work at Sunlight or MEDVi?
We could not find GLP120 on either seller's site on October 15, 2026. Sunlight now runs a "Fall Promo" from $88, and MEDVi shows a $149 or $179 first month depending on the link. Treat any older code as expired unless the checkout page applies it.
Is Sunlight's $88 semaglutide price only for the first month?
Sunlight's pages do not say. The help center calls $88 a "flat monthly rate" and its guarantee promises "Same price forever," but the product card still says "Starting at $179." A year costs $1,056 if $88 holds and $2,057 if $179 follows month one. Ask for the month-two price in writing.
Does MEDVi offer a money-back guarantee?
Not on results. Its marketing says "The only thing you'll lose is extra weight," but its terms state "There is no guarantee of results or effectiveness." Its refund policy gives a full refund only within 72 hours if you have not received services, and none for the month in which you cancel.
Which pharmacies fill Sunlight and MEDVi prescriptions?
Sunlight names Belmar Pharmacy, Strive Pharmacy, Epiq Scripts, Casa Pharma Rx, The Pharmacy Hub and Foothills Pharmacy. MEDVi names Triad Rx in Daphne, Alabama; RedRock Pharmacy in St. George, Utah; and Beaker Pharmacy & Compounding in McKinney, Texas. Neither says which pharmacy fills a given order.
Are compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide the same as Wegovy or Zepbound?
No. Compounded versions are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before sale. The FDA also warns about prices that seem too good to be true. Brand Wegovy and Zepbound are FDA-approved products with their own direct-pay prices.
